In fact Gary qualified in front of several big names, including James Ellison, Atsushi Watanabe and Guy Martin.

| Pole followed by two podiums for Mason at Knockhill |
For immediate release 11 August 2008
Gary Mason qualified first out of the Cup riders on the Q8Oils lubricated Quay Garage Racing Honda superbike at Scotland’s premier circuit and proceeded to secure a place on the podium in both races.
Always strong in qualifying, Mason was not only the fastest Cup rider but started the race ahead of several racers from the main Superbike teams, including Rizla Suzuki’s Atsushi Watanabe and Hydrex Honda’s Guy Martin. Rain just before the first race left a dry line on the track on the other side of the grid from Gary, who was on slicks. With such a narrow dry line it took time to pass people, but once clear of the slower riders Mason showed his pace and took the... |

| Mason holds his position at Oulton Park |
For immediate release 21 July 2008
Gary Mason leaves Oulton Park having held onto his position of fourth place in the Daily Star Cup, after a challenging day’s racing. In changeable weather Gary qualified first out of the Cup riders on the Q8Oils lubricated Quay Garage Racing Honda superbike, starting the race ahead of Cup leader John Laverty on the Buildabase NW200 Ducati and both of the factory supported Rizla Suzukis.
However during Race One, which was run in wet conditions, Gary Mason was one of eleven riders who failed to finish, when his Honda Fireblade was affected by electrical gremlins on Lap 4. Until that point he had been leading John Laverty on the Buildabase NW200 Ducati in the Cup... |

| Conor Secures Double Podium at Southern 100 |
For immediate release 11 July 2008
McAdoo Racing’s Conor Cummins had an outstanding debut meeting at the 2008 Southern 100 when he scored a double podium on the Q8Oils lubricated Kawasaki machines. Contending with inexperience of both the track and new Kawasaki machinery, the ‘Ramsay Rocket’ diced for victory in Thursday morning’s 600cc Supersport race against track specialists Ian Lougher and Ryan Farquhar. In a race long battle any one of the three riders could have won it, but experience told in the end with Lougher taking victory, Farquhar second and Conor a close third on the McAdoo Kawasaki ZX-6R.
Rain, which had disrupted racing during the week, returned for the main Southern 100 Championship race, which was a wet affair, much to Conor’s... |

| Quay Garage Racing seek new rider for BSB Cup |
16th May 2008
Q8Oils-supported Quay Garage Racing are in talks with some high profile riders to replace James Buckingham, following the 23-year old’s brave decision to step back from racing.
James has a long association with the North Devon team, having won the British Superbike ‘privateers cup’ with them in 2005. However he has been dogged by injury problems since a massive crash at Oulton Park in 2006 that left him with two broken ankles and has struggled to return to his previous form. Therefore Buckingham has chosen to opt out of racing for the remainder of the season and to allow another rider an opportunity to exploit the full potential of the team’s Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade that was used by Gregorio Lavilla in the opening... |
